TKV at ForAge International Conference, Budapest, 30 Sept.-1 Oct. 2013

To coincide with the United Nations International Day of Older People on 1 October, the ForAge Grundtvig Multilateral Network held a Pan-European Conference to examine trends and developments in learning in later-life and what can be learned from the experience of European initiatives in this field.

The Knowledge Volunteers project, leaded for 2011- 2013 by Fondazione Mondo Digitale, has been presented by the project partner 50+Hellas (Greece) during the afternoon workshop, as a best practice of European funded projects in the field of later life learning in 21st Century Europe.

Imre Sipos, Deputy Secretary of State, Hungarian Ministry of Human Resources, Department for Education and Dr Alan Tuckett OBE, President of the International Council for Adult Education (ICAE) also participated in the event presenting the benefits of later-life learning and highliting the impostante of current project results as best practices to improve the quality of training of those trying to reach potential older learners.
